Macro Sensors’ HSER 750 Series of 3/4 inch (19 mm) diameter DC-operated LVDTs are designed for a wide range of position measurement applications. These are rugged hermetically sealed sensors, constructed entirely of stainless steel, and intended for general industrial use. The coil windings are sealed against hostile environments to IEC standard IP-68 and electrical termination is through a sealed radial connector. The radial connector offers two important benefits. First, it results in a through-bore design, which permits access to either or both ends of the LVDT’s core for better mechanical support and core guidance, and easier cleanout in dusty or dirty locations. The second advantage of the radial connector is shorter installed length compared to units of the same range with axial connectors. The mating connector plug is supplied with the unit.

Macro Sensors’ PR 750 Series of 3/4" (19 mm) diameter AC-Operated LVDTs are general purpose contactless linear position sensors for both OEM applications and end user requirements. PR 812 and PRH 812 Series AC LVDTs are 0.812" (20.6 mm) diameter versions of the PR 750 Series and are designed primarily for use in legacy OEM applications and are not recommended for new designs. In most applications they are a cost effective form, fit, and function replacement LVDT for an OEM or user employing a competitor’s products of similar size and range.

Macro Sensors’, a TE Connectivity company, HLR 750 Series LVDT position sensors are specially designed for use in gas turbine & other hazardous location environments. These hermetically sealed AC LVDTs are UL listed for use in Class 1 Division 2 Non-Incendive environments Gas Groups A, B, C, and D. Available in measuring ranges from ±1 inch to ±10 inches, HLR 750 Series LVDT position sensors feature high resolution, excellent repeatability, and low hysteresis (typically better than 0.01% of full scale output for each). The maximum linearity error of these sensors is ±0.25% of full range output.

The Macro Sensors SQ 1250 Series of heavy duty LVDTs were developed specifically to measure position or motion in mill-type hostile environments. These rugged and reliable contactless sensors, available in measuring ranges from ±0.50 inches to ±10.00 inches, have their electrical assembly totally encapsulated within a heavy duty aluminum housing, with their electrical connections made to screw-terminal style barrier strips. This complete encapsulation of SQ 1250 Series LVDTs allows them to withstand the high shock and vibration levels typically encountered in mill environments and permits them to meet the IEC IP-64 sealing standard against the intrusion of splashed water and other liquids.

Macro Sensors’ LVDT CD 375 Series of 3/8 inch (9.5 mm) diameter AC-operated LVDTs are small size contactless linear position sensors for both OEM and end user applications. They are available in full scale measuring ranges from ±0.025 inch (±0.63 mm) to ±1.0 inches (±25 mm) and offer 50% larger core-to-bore radial clearance, 0.012 inches (0.3 mm), than similar size units from competitors. The low mass of their cores makes these miniature LVDTs well suited for high response dynamic measurements. CD 375 Series sensors feature the high resolution, excellent repeatability, and low hysteresis associated with LVDT technology, as well as the highest sensitivity consistent with good linearity. The maximum linearity error for a CD 375 sensor is ±0.25% of full range output, using a statistically best-fit straight line derived by the least squares method.
