How to Change the High Temperature Alarm Setpoint Value on the DPG-XR Series 2-Channel Digital Pyrometer Gauge

Once the gauge is powered on we are ready to begin the procedure.

Begin by pressing the GEAR key once (x1)

Next, using the up & right arrow keys, enter the programming code 0001

Once the code is in the display then press the GEAR key (x1) The gauge is now in the programming mode.

The display will read “AH1” Press the GEAR key once (1x).

Using the up & right arrow keys enter the temperature value at which you want the alarm for channel 1 to activate. For this example, we will choose 100 degrees. Once the chosen High Alarm set-point activate value is in the display press the GEAR key once (x1) to save the value in the microprocessor’s memory.

Next, press the UP ARROW KEY once (1x). The display will read “AL1”. Press the GEAR key once (1x). Using the up & right arrow keys to enter the temperature value at which you want the alarm for channel 1 to deactivate. For this example, we will choose 90 degrees.

Once the chosen High Alarm set-point deactivate value is in the display press the GEAR key once (x1) to save the value in the microprocessor’s memory.

Press the UP arrow once (1x). The display will read AH2.

Press the GEAR key once (1x). Using the up & right arrow keys enter the temperature value at which you want the alarm for channel 2 to activate. For this example, we will choose 100 degrees again.

Press the GEAR key once (1x) to save the value then press the UP arrow once (1x). The display will read AL2.

Press the GEAR key once (1x). Using the up & right arrow keys to enter the temperature value at which you want the alarm for channel 2 to deactivate. For this example, we will choose 90 degrees again. Then, press the GEAR key once (1x) to save the value

Press the UP arrow once (1x) until END is in the display window. Then press the GEAR key once (x1) to exit the programming mode.

The gauge’s High Alarm now activates if the measured temperature value is greater than 100 degrees & deactivates if the measured temperature value is less than 480 degrees.
